Personal Retreat: Part III

I know, I know, it looks like I got nothing done, but I did!! I now have 7 lines going from left to right, which I know is only one more line. I also got the corners done. But my main progress has been in the design.

Instead of crosshatching, the rest of the blue will have lines going right to left diagonally…or I just thought maybe straight… But anyway, the left to right diagonal will mimic bowling alleys and so I will make little arrows inside each line. I think it will turn out real nice. Now I have to decide diagonal or straight… straight would stick out more… I guess I’ll have to sleep on it.

Tomorrow is the last day of my personal quilting retreat. BOOOOO!! I have a lot to do if I want to meet my goal of finishing the quilting in the blue… O well, I can’t say I didn’t try.

Personal Retreat: Part II

Even through it was monsooning raining literally all day, I unfortunately didn’t get much quilting done. I didn’t realize how many lines I would have to sew nor how long some of the lines would be. That being said, I have a whooping 6 lines done… SCORE!!

And just to make you jealous…. VOILA!!

Day 1

My Own Quilting Retreat

Sometimes its great to just get away, and that’s what I’ doing this week.

I’m at the beach this week and my only plans are shopping and quilting. I’m crossing my fingers that I finish the Strike Out! quilting… But I don’t think it’s gonna happen. I can still try though!

Let me just say I am in love with the scalloped quilting in the red!!
I have all the blue to quilt and also the yellow. The blue is going to be cross-hatched at 1 1/2 inches apart and he yellow will have diagonal quilting also at 1 1/2 inches apart.

-DISCLAIMER- I know I’ve been a horrible blogger lately, but I’ll keep you updated this week. I pinky promise!
